Screenwriting & Directing

In addition to Michael's work on-stage and on-screen as an actor, his other great passion is filmmaking. Growing up in Baltiore MD - Mike would spend summers with his friends making short films and series like; "Andy's Basement LIVE!", and "Law & Order: XYZ". As he grew up he began making more short movies here and there with friends until he moved to NYC in 2012 when he began teaching writing at Charter Schools in NY/NJ, and writing and directing his friends acting demos. In 2017 he wrote and directed a TV Pilot "Potty Trained" with his dear friend and creative partner Beatriz Naranjo, and since then his passion for writing and directing for film has only grown. His latest script, "The Conspiracists" which he wrote with his wife Lacy, is shooting Nov 2024 and will be his first feature directing project.
